Jakarta - If the current wireless technology is the most 'prestigious' is 3G, in 2010 it may have changed. What will emerge, Wimax or LTE?

Judging service owned wireless telecommunications operator, currently 3G-based services - and the result was an increase from - still the flagship product of a 'prestigious'. Just look at each other a few operators who claim their network capabilities.

Now, entering 2010, if the 3G is still going to be a belle? Yet another technological successor to 3G is starting to sound repercussions, especially Wimax and LTE.

Mochammad Irzan, Senior Technical Consultant, Juniper Networks, while talking to some media in the Gran Melia, Jakarta, admitted pending WiMAX-based service provider to appear in 2010. After all, he said, had pocketed some of the licenses from the government.

Irzan said, WiMAX can be used for two things: first as a direct connection to the end user and the second as a back haul connections that use the service.

"If sold directly to users, which I want to see is what price they offer. If you can more cheaply than they are now, it could crowded," he said.

If any will come to the end customer, Wimax providers need to consider competitors which is actually a veteran players, mobile telecommunications operators.

On the other hand, WiMAX can be used as a backhaul to support the existing mobile operators. Substantial capacity enable WiMAX used for this purpose. Especially since the wireless network capabilities that mobile operators is limited by frequency.

Well, how about the Long Term Evolution (LTE). The technology was mentioned as a successor to 3G, 4G alias, according Irzan still not going to come to Indonesia in 2010.

"LTE in Indonesian mash 2 or 3 years. Operator in the country we still wait and see," Irzan explicitly.

The first commercial 4G service has been launched by TeliaSonera and Ericsson in Stockholm, Sweden. Commercial launch took place earlier than planned. Of course you're curious, if the first commercial service in the world are successfully deliver fast Internet service for its customers? What equipment should be used by customers to get the 4G or regular connections known as Long Term Evolution (LTE)?

TeliaSonera customers who want to take advantage of 4G network connection can use the modem made Samsung. Samsung Tools Dongle is given a name or GT-B3710. By using such a modem, customers can download at speeds up to 100Mbps. The speed is claimed to ten times faster than the Turbo 3G service. This modem has a frequency range support LTE in 2.6GHz. Samsung announced that they will update the modem version of an existing order to be able to work "backwards" so that the modem can support HSDPA and EDGE.

While TeliaSonera use the results of the development of Ericsson, which is RBS6000. RBS6000 using an Evolved Packet Core network which is a solution bachkaul move. The solution is the successor SmartEdge 1200. LTE system they use based on 3GPP standards for radio technology Long Term Evolution and Evolved Packet Core technology.
The speed gained by the customer really does not achieve the promised maximum limit. They get a speed like this:

• Download speed: 42.78Mbit /
• Upload speed: 5.30Mbit / s.
• Ping: 37ms

Fast enough, right? Moreover, the speed is achieved using the Wireless Modem, not through the LAN cable. However, there is still a possibility if you are using LTE is still so small that it gained speed quickly.

If you have a phone with Bluetooth feature, certainly was not new to hear the name. With Bluetooth lets you send files or conduct an internet connection without the need cord. Very easy and not ribet certainly not?

The latest version has Bluetooth now comes to meet the demands of wireless technology, which reportedly targeted the low-energy applications in the areas of health, fitness and shopping center security. Of course with the appendage is energy efficient now being intensively conducted so that the technology not only offers the sophistication, but also did not drain the existing energy. No other mission is to create something environmentally friendly.

Bluetooth Special Interest Group has announced that it has adopted the Bluetooth Core Specification 4.0. Bluetooth 4.0 speeds are reportedly not far from the 3.0 version which was just beginning to be used intensively for about 10 months ago, but both versions are planned to be used in different things.

Bluetooth SIG chief Michael Foley argues, "plans energy-efficient Bluetooth is used for new products that already meet the requirement, this is an important step towards our goal enables new markets with Bluetooth wireless technology." It is still not clear to what kind of cases, but it seems this will lead us to new technologies later.
